Solar panels in Pitlochry
Pitlochry is a Highland Perthshire town of around 3,000 permanent residents, twenty-eight miles north of Perth on the A9. It sits in the Tummel valley, surrounded by hills and forest, and is popular with retirees and holiday homeowners. The housing stock includes Victorian stone villas along the main street, inter-war bungalows on the hillside, and modern developments on the town’s edges. Steeply pitched roofs are common and generally well suited to panels. Tree growth can be significant around older properties. Pitlochry is a strong candidate for combined solar and heat pump installations.

Rural Pitlochry properties often have high daytime generation and lower self-consumption. A battery banks the surplus for evening use, so more of your own solar electricity is used at home.
