What we publish

Solar Panels Perth is an advisory and quotation service. We publish factual information about solar panels, battery storage, heat pumps, grants and energy efficiency for homeowners in Perth and Perthshire.

How we check facts

Every eligibility criterion and financial figure on this site is checked against a published primary source before publication. We cite the source and the date we last checked it. Our fact pack is rebuilt every time we publish and includes checked dates beside each figure.

Our primary sources are Ofgem, HM Revenue & Customs and the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). We link directly to source material wherever possible.

Accreditation claims

Solar Panels Perth does not hold MCS certification itself. We install through MCS-certified partners, and we state this distinction clearly wherever accreditations are mentioned.

What this site will not say

Superlatives: we will never claim to be the best, top-rated, leading, cheapest or number one.
Grant claims that do not exist: there is no general grant for solar panels on their own in Scotland, and we will never suggest otherwise.
Accreditations we do not hold: MCS certification belongs to our installation partners, not to Solar Panels Perth or Scottish Energy Efficiency.
Invented reviews, testimonials or star ratings: we will not publish reviews unless they come from a named, verifiable customer.
Guaranteed savings or price figures: we do not publish prices or savings, and your price is confirmed on your written quote after a survey.
Monthly repayment figures or interest-rate claims: the only thing we say about finance is “Loans available, subject to status”.

Corrections

If you find something on this site that is incorrect, outdated or misleading, please contact us at info@scottishenergyefficiency.co.uk or call 0141 230 0198. We will investigate and correct the page within two working days.

Solar Panels Perth is operated by Scottish Energy Efficiency. When we connect you with one of our installation partners for a quote, that partner may pay a referral fee. This does not affect the price you pay — the quote you receive is the same whether you came through this site or contacted the partner directly.
