Solar panels in Aberfeldy
Aberfeldy is a small Highland Perthshire town of around 2,000 people, thirty-two miles from Perth along the A827 through Strathtay. It sits on the south bank of the Tay, surrounded by open farmland and forestry. The town has a mix of older stone houses, newer builds, and a significant number of holiday and rental properties. Rural properties in the surrounding area often have large roof areas with minimal shading from neighbours. Many homes are heated by oil or LPG, so solar panels combined with a heat pump are worth discussing at survey.
Aberfeldy is 23 miles north-west of Perth. We install through MCS-certified partners, and every home is surveyed first. Your price is confirmed on your written quote, with 0% VAT on solar panels and batteries until 31 March 2027. There is no general grant for solar panels on their own in Scotland. Loans available, subject to status.

Battery storage
Rural Aberfeldy properties often have high daytime generation and lower self-consumption. A battery banks the surplus for evening use, so more of your own solar electricity is used at home.

Heat pumps for rural homes
